          Thanks.

First bump in the road... Kmember was said to be complete but didn't come with spindles or motor mounts. Luckily I can just reuse my spindles and motor mounts aren't expensive.

Purchased Knock Sensors and AIR EGR Blockoffs. Mechanic believes he can get the motor mounts for free.

Next bump in the road is this took the money for my exhaust labor and I realize I may need more sensors, IAT, Camshaft position, ect...

If you use a 5-wire MAF sensor it has the IAT inside it. If you use a 3-wire MAF sensor you have have to run a separate IAT sensor.

Using 3 Wire MAF - But I found out the IAT is the same between the V6 and V8. Has the same part numbers so I'm fine there.

              Purchased transmission crossmember for $5
              Purchased throttle cable
              Looking into the MAF
Need starter and Transmission Dipstick tube.

Engine is complete asside from a few small stuff.

Next bump in the road... I did get screwed on the transmission .... not because it wasn't rebuilt, but because its the wrong one... it wont bolt up, its an LT1 tyranny. I'm trying to resolve with the transmission Guy but I might be in trouble.

A LT1 and LS1 use the same bolt pattern. The only thing I see on the pictures of your trans that will not work on a LS1 F body, is it is missing the torque arm mount on the tail shaft.

I think I remember the input shafts being different between the two also.

Yeah I have one of those its just not on the trans yet.

Yeah, the stator pump is different too and depending on the years some of the electronics aswell.

With the input shaft being different can I use a LT1 Converter to bolt it up and will it work?

I don't think the LT1 converter will bolt to the LS1 flex plate.

I didn't think LT1 4L60E's had a removable bell housing. GM didn't start doing that till around 98.

I thought I heard somewhere that began in 96 but don't quote me on it...]

Edit: Did more research. 4L60E LT1 transmissions got removable bell housings in the TRUCK models in the late 90's...so my trans is most likely a truck trans

Okay. Looks like we're going to go through with adapting the transmission to work with a adapter and different flywheel. I have called Performabuilt and they told me it would work so we're ganna try it.

Why not take back the tranny to the guy who sold it to you and get the proper tranny for it.
