whoever told you that probably considers filling up the gastank to be a weekend project  there are 4 bolts on the U-joint...undo them, and the DS will fall out. Easy as f'n pie

its really easy! even a 17 year can do it (like me).

eventhough i had to replace the ujoints because the ones on the aluminum driveshaft were a little bigger.

when doing this work, you can use the same u-joints, or have to buy new ones?

Unless you're ghetto like gilby and buy your D/S from some shady slave trader.

I remember Kristen replaced her d/s not too long ago and said it was weeell worth it.

i may or may not be right on this but as i understand it is that because the 1le is lighter it takes less torque and horsepower to get it spinning. just like if you were to put on rims that weigh less. a good friend of mine told me that. like i said before wether or not that is really the case, i do not know. but it makes sense to me. in escense you are not making more torque/horsepower just using it more efficiantly.

My 3.4 revs quicker and harder with the aluminum DS. I get 5mph more out of every gear.

A gear is a gear, you can't get more mph out of the same gear ratio by changing a medium.

that's just silly. You're just holding it 5mph higher in every gear...
