What issues will I run into if I remove my cat all together?

I had none, even before hptuners turned off the codes for it.

You'll want to check the list of counties in Texas that test emmissions before you delete it. I believe some counties in Houston are included. Given that you are not registered in an emmissions county, all Texas safety inspections are supposed to at least check for the presence of a cat.

If you have emissions I wouldn't delete it unless you have your PCM reprogramed. Also if they do look for it at emissions then you want to keep it as they'll probably not pass you for not having it.

So check to see if I have emissions in my county and delete code? how do I delete the code? and will I have issues like rough idle and reduced HP & TQ due to the lack of back pressure?

Here's a list of the counties in Houston that test emissions. Its done by the OBDII test.

Houston-Galveston-Brazoria Program Area: Brazoria, Fort Bend, Galveston, Harris, and Montgomery Counties

In my opinion a short glass pack or resonator looks alot like a converter. Just sayin.

What HP & TQ increase can I expect from the pacesetters?
