Should I re-use old valve cover gaskets?
Should I silicone/RTV the intake and valve cover gaskets? I guess not

Do not re-use the old valve cover gaskets. When I replaced my valve cover gaskets (due to leaks) I didn't use RTV. I was tempted to, but decided not to. I do not have leaks.

As for the intake, I don't know. Some intakes require RTV in certain locations where one gasket will join anouther. I don't know about this engine cause I do not have the manual and have never had the intake off.

hey hey now bobby, you of all people talking about asking for leaks... torque specs by feel... BAH! your just asking to warp the head/deck and have a nice lil leak on your hands. i feel torque specs for lug nuts, not engine stuff. anything that needs to be flat to .001 inch NEEDS a good torque wrench. oh and CDNFB, good call with the whole new bolts thing, couldnt have said it better myself. good luck slow
