I could do the front and back with mine, but they have to be DOT approved.

And stock internals plus bottle doesnt sound like a very good idea... Im just going to take the loss and this weekend ima order headers, rocker arms, lifters, valve springs, camshaft, get a dyno tune and ask for a rematch in about 2 months ://
Minus the fluid in the two reservoirs you listed all that stuff is plastic, and is only going to be worth like 2lbs. As far as mods the first thing I would do is a set of steep gears like 4.10's.

Go for broke and run 4.56's, without it being calibrated you'll probably hit fuel cut at 88mph which is fine, just concentrate on what part of time you want to jump to (future or past, doesn't really matter).

future / past / 88mph. Are you referring to Back to the future? How's he supposed to generate 1.21 gigawatts?

the rear is DOT...but realistically...who looks at the window designations if you get pulled over?

It's probably been said, but our interiors aren't really that heavy. You're just going to destroy your interior for 1 race. Rear seats weigh next to nothing. I would say 700lb is impossible with the factory frame. Even if you converted all control arms, k-member, etc.. to tubular chromoly you would still have to have a tubular frame (or at least much of it) to achieve this kind of weight shedding.

Have you seen race cars, especially really simple ones like "stock cars"? The reason they're so relatively light (~3500lb) considering how beefy they are, is because it's a basic tubular frame under a shell. We've got a retired nascar parked in front of our office actually, so if you don't believe me I'll take a picture of the frame for you :).

I don't think losing the engine (~400lb) would even get you to 700lb reduction even if you butcher the interior and go with tubular sub-frame and suspension components.

300lbs is more realistic especially for a car like a Camaro.

He will not win this race on weight reduction alone. The only way I'd say you have a chance is adding nitrous

                                X2 for nitrous.
