I know I am a nOOb and this is an ancient thread, but going through it, seems alot of the original clips have been deleted. What I did notice is that the overwhelming majority of aftermarket exhausts get real raspy/nasally above 4000rpm.

Is that still the case or has anybody found a compromise that sounds sweet through the rev range?

this thread is stickied so dont worry about it being old

and yes you can get the rasp out, borla works but is expensive... also u normally have to do full exhaust and maybe a cam.

i think ssms said he has no rasp and he has dynomax i believe. cusoms true duals is an option, but expensive. keep digging through threads...

roger that. I have some old D&D's laying around from my Suzuki SV1000S and was kicking around my own 1 off option...............

Mods noted in video, first part is open headers, last part is full exhaust through a TSP rumbler:

I'm only letting it go to 6200 right now but I rarely am touching above 1/2 throttle with this car. I'd have to look at my tables to see what my trans shift points are set at for part throttle.

He let off just before that on that run.

I never shift above 5500... Are factory rev limiters set really low?
