Anyone know like an exact place where i can find car ducting? I will use the other kind but i would much rather have something more reliable and stronger.

Also on a side note.. anyone know why a 98's TB is angled? Also is a K&N really worth paying 60 bux for?
'98 TB is angled because it's got a cable-driven throttle, i believe. the later models were electronic-driven, so they got a straight throttle body.

and yes, K&N is worth the money. they're much better than the stock paper filter, and i trust them more than the other "re-usable" filter companies.

First off here's how this worked. Yesterday me and max raced and we were DEAD even. I would beat him off the line and then i would get into 3rd and he would catch up and we would be even. Today i bought a K&N and i did the wisper lid removal. My car maybe picked up like 5 hp. We never tested the K&N alone so maybe getting rid of the silencer lost some hp were not sure. Anyway we raced again today i would get a little bit better launch on him. Then my car wouldnt turn over into 3rd gear for some reason. EVERY time he would fly by me at the top of second which would be like 65 or so. Then my engine started getting extremely hot and i was allmost out of gas so we went back home. It does sound a little better but for 85 bux its not worth it. 70 of it comming from the K&N. By the way me and max have diff gears.

the air silencer does nothing but rob power...taking it off helps.

I got some high temp ducting that was about $70 for 10 feet...I sold some small chunks to people on this board but may have some left...it works better than the dryer ducting cause it won't fall apart under the heat. I noticed a big difference in removing the air silencer...but a whisper lid would help too....the thing I really like about the ducting is that I can use any lid that is made for a LS1 (like my clear MTI one).

Maxcamaro did the install with me. He can vouch that it did not help my car at ALL. By the way where did you get your ducting guys? im looking for like specific store names. Not your local car shop. Everywhere ive checked doesnt have any. I think the dryer ducting was MASSIVELY heating up the air. I didnt mention this but when i went to take it off last week it burnt my finger. This was like 20 min after the car had been running to. And its supposed to not even be hot.

I was worried mine was going to start to melt or break tearing little shards of aluminum into the engine.

Thats why I bought the expensive high temp ducting
