Get an 80 series Flowmaster. After a while, it will get very deep and loud. It is much louder than Dynomax and gets a louder rumble after a while. I've had mine for 10 months, it started sounding its best this past month. I've compared it to ones with Dynomax and mine sounds better. Even through all Rpm's.

ill agree with going with the flowmaster 80s
my roomate has a '96 camaro witha 3.8L v6 and dynomax and i love my flowmasters compared to his car
my flows are about 6 months old and have the meanest rumble to them ive heard on any v6, while dynomax is nice it sounds just a bit to whispery to me, although my roomates is only 1 month old its still very quiet and too 'stock' sounding at higher rpms for me

Flowmaster 80 sound pretty good on a 3.4, but, I hate to redline any gear. It sounds high. I guess a 3.4 will never sound deep. I'm waiting on a Dynomax superturbo from ebay. When it gets here I'll have it put on with a higher flowing cat.

I love my dynomax. I had a Flowmaster on my 96 Camaro and hated it. I have no sound clip though. Maybe I can get one soon and let you hear how quad pipes sound coming from a dynomax exhuast. ;)

not knockin the flowmaster guys but i hate the sound , to raspy for me. i have dynomax super turbo on my 3.4, and i have heard it on a 3.8. the 3.8 was deeper over the whole rpm range, however there is a differant sound to 3.8 then the 3.4. i have 2 clips of my ehuast on my web page one of when i was brand new and the other after the muffler had burned out a little.

Your exhaust is going to sound a lot different when you are actually driving vs. Reving it on neutral.

Here are some sound clips of the Flowmaster on my 3.4L. It sounds good if you keep it under 3K then it gets ricey.
Check it out:
http://eyeoutthere.tripod.com/exhaust.htm

Some times I wish it was quieter, but others I love it loud. I guess you can’t have the best of both worlds.

Tip: When making sound clips of your exhaust, do not put the mike right up next to the outlet. Make sure it is at lest 10ft away, don’t record in a garage, and record it with the gain turned down. Then normalize it after it is recorded. All of the exhaust clips I have heard sound like crap because they are not recorded correctly.

I'm a former flowmaster owner myself. Honestly, they don't sound much different to me when driving. The flowmaster however is more rumbly at idle, but the dynomax doesn't rice up as bad when reving or driving past 3000 rpms. I had to put my stock lid back on due to me taking my car to the dealer a while back. He test drove it after the repair and my exhaust sounded like crap. This is the dynomax i'm talking about. So, if your intake isn't modded, your exhaust will sound like ****!

eyeoutthere your clips dont really have a good rpm range, i dont think you went over 2500rpms. how about some clip of you reving without load.

ps- my clip were taken 7 ft away.

Did you record the idle one from in the car, or outside?
