question about tb spacer

anyone with a slp cai (95-97) have one of dee's spacers on yet? does it fit?

Dee, heard you still have material left. Think I could get a spacer kit? My only concern is that I'm now in the mountains and its gonna get real cold in the winter. Do you think there could be a problem? I've also got the SLP cai, but I'm not too worried about it not fitting with the spacer.

I'm kinda worried about it not fitting with the SLP CAI, the intake elbow is already mashed against the radiator pretty good.

i'm getting one tomorrow i think--i have a 97 camaro w/slp cai, i'll tell you all how it fits. don't think it will be much of a problem though--the intake elbow is already made out of rubber and the radiator part it touches is plastic--so it should not be a big deal

This is one of the reasons I requested the 1/4" spacer as ooposed to the 3/8" spacer.

It should really fit just fine.

I have the SLP CAI and am going with a 1/4" spacer.. its right in front of me.. I don't have a spacer on teh car now.

I have replied to those that have send email. As for the SLP CAI, I don't have any feedback yet if they will fit. I think there might have been 2 that had one. You are going to need roughly 1/4"+ about a 1/16" for the extra gasket.

As for the icing up. I doubt you will have problems with that. GM has to design their cars for nearly every climate. I work in the semiconductor industry and we sell to GM, BOSCH, Daimler, Ford, visteon, and they want integrated circuits that work to -40 to 125C for most applications. Which is colder than most climates except maybe some parts of Canada or Alaska. I just don't see the TB freezing unless you are going to see extreme temps of way below 0 F.

It is such a simple install, that you could always remove it in the winter if you live in those extreme winter climates.

I am just trying to be honest. I haven't been able to test those conditions down here in Texas! ;)
