I got everything plugged in, all interior stuff works except for my map lights, even gauges, but when I turn the key nothing happens, anyone got any ideas?

I used the entire LS1 harness, from engine to fans to battery, fuse boxes, everything all the way thru the firewall and plugged it up to my cars interior

damnit man you are beyond vauge.

          What year is your car.
What year did you transplant into it?

Starters relay is activated by a fat purple wire that goes from the ignition all the way to the starter.

              use a volt meter

Where the engine harness meets the underhood harness you will have a purple wire that has 1 plug.. male into female... check the voltage of that when cranking position with key.

              Check it at the starter.

Sure starter + goes to battery?

              Perhaps its a bad starter.

thats what I was figuring, motor has been sitting up awhile, I will check that, is the tetth supposed to sit inside that starter? all I have seen they lined up with the flywheel this one sits a little inside..

the teeth will stay back until it gets voltage. Then the gear will spin causing it to be pushed to the flywheel, and then the gear will move back after the key is let off. Thats so that the starter doesnt put any extra drag on the motor.

OK at the fuse box I plugged my light test in to one of the starter relay ports, 2 have no power at all, one has power all the time, and one has power when i turn the key over to start out of the 4 ports, any ideas?

                      the starter body is ground.

The power all the time is the lead that goes to the battery..

The one that is switched is the relay signal.

omg. you jupered things with paper clips?

You are just asking for trouble. if you jumper the starter leed or the starter relay wire and it arcs to the body your next post might be "Who wants to buy a charred f-body"

If I where you I'd stop right now and have a professional help you.

You may just cause more damage than good.

Well since its getting power now, could it be the relay?

Really I have no idea what the problem is.

No offense but you are all over the place and are not describing what you are doing in detail at all.

"it is getting power" what is it, how did you check.. etc. etc.

You are using paperclips as juncitons. What happens when they arc and short?

I'm sorry but I just can't help you. You need to be more detailed and descriptive.

Also, I'm moving this to general tech.

I really wish I could help you and we could help you in advanced tech but this just is not the place for posts with 2 scentances and replies with 2 scentances.

We need details in here that are descriptive and show step by step what is done to help solve the problem and what steps have already been taken.

Good luck. Have some water near by just in case.
