  • RPM Drop (video with it)

For about a year now once I get up to around 55-60 if I step on the gas the RPM's will go up shortly, then fall down without me letting off the gas. Anyone got some ideas?

So this isn't the car on your webpage? Checked that after I posted and it says it's a 5 speed.
        What year is it?

are you flooring it or just giving it some gas?, i can't see the vid, its probably your torque converter locking up...

It could also be a burned clutch pack. The 4l60e is supposed to have a weak hold in 3rd gear.

looks like the t/c lockup is turning off and then back on. if you drive the same speed and just ever so lightly tap the brakes (not enough to brake but enough to trigger your taillights) does it do the same rpm jump? if the jumps are the same its just the t/c lockup beingits usual indecisive self. another test might be to drive in 3 at 55/60 and see if you get the same behavior. i dont believe t/c lockup occurs until 70mph when in 3.
