      Re: Cam, am I ready?

I have a custom grind, very similar to the GT2, it ran with no tune just fine.
I ran nitrous with it as well.
Don't buy a nitrous cam unless the car only makes passes on spray, and has larger than a 150 shot or so.
The gt2 and some headers and a high flow cat will be enough for the nitrous.

You can run it on stock valvetrain if you so desire, I would at least put in a fresh set of springs, if not aftermarket, than stock.

Cam, 105# Springs, Spring Retainers. Should be all I need, right?

              Re: Cam, am I ready?

hmmm, link didnt work, but be careful with the ZZP cam install kit, you need a new cam bolt and crank bolt....the crank bolt they provide is for the L67 and will not work.

also i would recommend going double roller timing chain as long as you are in there.

Why? I run a nitrous cam and the car has never been run on nitrous or boost yet. Best time is a 14.3 on stock manifolds, street tires, stock stall, and a fair tune.

You'll also need to buy an upper intake manifold gasket set(most auto parts
stores have it listed under plenum gasket) and a throttle body gasket. Most
of the time the throttle body gasket comes with the upper intake mani gasket.

At the end of Part Three, we changed the valvetrain of the 3.8-liter V6 in the Tom Henry RS. We installed new, Yella Terra "Ultralite" 1.8:1, aluminum roller rocker arms, Katech valve springs and Katech titanium retainers on our 3800 Series II V6.
Ultralites are nearly 25% lighter than the stock 1.6 rockers and 8% lighter than the SLP aluminum...
