Heh...you've been terribly misled my friend.
What it does is let you change the rev limiter, fan temps, shift firmness, at what rpm it will shift (both of those for auto of course), adjust the speedo for new tires or gears, and removes the speed limiter. It also does its power tuning for 87 or 93 octane. I think that about covers it. I have an auto and love it so far (just got it from a member of this board)...but it doesnt take care of the SES lights. I'm pretty sure the program Magnus has will take care of it once it goes on the market.

You guys know you can get Desktop Dyno 2k from like Kazaa and bearshare right?
I have the file that has the specs on our engine from Dominic and I think it's pretty small; I bet AZ3.8Camaro would post the file with the specs to our engine, so people could copy it and plug in your own numbers for all these different cams.
The comparison page is a great idea, but I bet it'd make your life a little easier to put the stock engine file on the web and let people download that. Then rather than them asking you to run all these cams, they could run it themselves and maybe report back the results on this post. Just a thought, kinda like LS1.com has the actual cam review thread where you can hear about gains, specs, and pros/cons of a cam.

I agree completely with that. If I had the program I'd run all the cams I wanted to know about without having to bother other people. Kazaa will not run on my laptop for some reason or another, so I can't get it. So...if someone wanted to send me the file that would be great :D

what's your email or IM name? I can send it to you. The files I have were compiled by Dominic, so all credit goes to him with them. I'm sure they're very very close to AZ's, if not the same. But yeah, it's a cool program to get engine numbers off of and easy to use. I'll probably start running a bunch of cams again when summer gets closer along with a cash inflow. But give me your email addy or im name and I'll send em to you.

Hey guys, I decided to just upload it to the net so everyone could get it., rather than sending out a bunch of emails. It's a zipped file that contains engine data for the 3.8 if anyone wants to run the files on Desktop Dyno

First of all, I don't use desktop dyno....
Second of all, all the specs I used are on my site.

Third, I am VERY SURE that Stefan and the other admin are not going to enjoy the fact that you're sharing files on their site.

I would take the link down. Put up a link only for the data files, not the program itself.

link is being edited as I type. I do agree that admin hasn't been too keen on program sharing in the past. the link now is just to the files related to our engine.
If anyone wants DD 2000, IM or email me, and I will point you in the right direction to obtain the info. I have to agree though with AZ, the site does not promote sharing actual programs, so I'll edit that out.

Good call, thanks! I will update the page for those who don't want to mess with some kind of program. I am a little busy this week, but I will get it done soon.
