    Pushin this back up to the top... I knew that temp and timing are related... but it's nice to have this for reference...

    We should have a reference article type of area on this board too...

      Something else....

      A 160 thermo DOES NOT cause the PCM to run in open loop all the time as some people think.

      Also on the highway you end up dropping to 160* or less due to this thermo as opposed to a 180* or higher thermo because once the engine cools down past the point that the thermo opens, it will start to close again, hovering at about 175 or 185, respectively.
