Smoke.. I don't know man but you're the last person I'd take advice from about how to interact with other human beings. No offense, you give a lot of good information but you're usually pretty damn cold about it. :p
Letzride.. just keep living your life as you've been. If they really have a problem with it they'll come to you hopefully peacefully. I don't believe you should have to approach them at all. If they do come at you with a bad attitude just keep your head on straight.
Btw, if something does happen to your car, you have probable cause and a witness or 2.
