it doesn't matter obd1 or obd2 or obd3. your pcm goes to the parts pile in the corner when mega goes in.

        Re: Megasquirt - 3.4L F-Body Installation Guides

It replaces the stock PCM in the since that it takes over control of the engine with fuel and spark. So it doesn't matter what version the PCM is. A megasquirt can pretty much control any engine(not considering things like variable valve timing, variable intake, etc...but of course the 3.4 doesn't have any of that). Basically you disconnect the injectors and ignition control module from the PCM and connect them to the Megasquirt so it can control them. This is a really simple explination though. See my installation diagrams for all the details.

Great write up Turbo, my motor has an Edelbrock cam, ported and polished heads, intake, 19lb injectors, etc so the factory computer doesn't know whether its coming or going. I'm actually putting in an order today for a MS-II PCB v.3. Have you tried this yet?

Aside from having stock internals you have the same basic setup I'm going for. Once I get the hang of the megasquirt and tune for the NA configuration I'll be working on fabbing up the turbo setup (detonation does much less damange without boost :-) ). If you don't mind I'd be interested in seeing what you came up with for a setup both turbo and what your thoughts are on the MS-II.

          Thanks,
          Brian

you can control fuel, spark, all, one, or none (even aux injectors). Sensors can even be wired in and it can be used to datalog only ;)

OBD 1.5 is in the 4th gens. OBD1 is quite tuneable.

I haven't ever messed with a MS-II other than just reading stuff and looking at diagrams, etc. I was going to write an install guide based off how I would hook it up if I were to do it, but never having actually done it before. Funcionally it's not so drastically different that it wouldn't work.
As far as seeing what I came up with for the turbo do you mean my tune or my physical turbo installation? I have my tune parameters on my install guide site: http://www.turbocamaroproject.com/me...tallGuide.html
