• be careful with bottle heaters

this was a bad thing that happened to me but than god my car didn't blow up. ok well my bottle heaters wasn't working for some reason. we ended fixing the problem and then the therostat wouldn't work. so pumm3l(shaun) just cut if off and took it in the house to re-sodder it. not knowing that he left the bottle heater on . ( now keep in mind that i took my bottle in my house cause it was 98 out side) so he sat the heater down and it was leaning up against upper back part of my back seat) and my custom box cover pressed them together. i go in my car the next day. everything was fixed but there was this really bad smell in my car. i just tought that is way my oil leak. i went to put the bottle in my car the next day and there is now a big hole in my back seat and my carpet on upper deck back window is all brown. i'll take pics and post them. yup..my bottle bottle heater doesnt have any thermostats..so i can get the psi as high as i want..so i have to watch it..and it can only be on with the key in the run position (you should wire it through an ignition wire)

i have the system where it turns off at 1100 psi. the only reason why i got that hot was because we took the thermostat off and the 1100 psi switch wasn't hooked up yet. we hooked it up later that day.

no I didn't leave the heater on while I went in the house, the switch is wired to a ignition controlled source so it can't turn on unless the car is on. I was testing the wires for power with my continuity tester and I guess I didn't think that it would get that hot as to melt the carpet on the back of the seat =\. But anyway that's what happened. The themostat wasn't working as well as we wanted it to so we bought a pressure controlled switch which will trip the relay once the pressure hits 1100 psi.

Gotta be careful!

My warmer's have NO temp sensors.... but I have lights/ switches to turn them on.... and I'm used to the set up.

Maybe now you should get blow down tubes?

Yea we have a blow down tube, I have to figure out how we're gonna vent the nitrous out of the car because she wanted the bottle behind the seat in the hatch. We have one of these:

the location where she has her bottle I'm relucted to drill near because the fuel tank is right underneath. I think she said she saw some drain holes near that area though so we'll have to take a look again

Oh btw the company that makes that blow down tube also makes these:

best $10 I ever spent. Makes taking the bottle out of the car a breeze when I need to refill it.

At the end of Part Three, we changed the valvetrain of the 3.8-liter V6 in the Tom Henry RS. We installed new, Yella Terra "Ultralite" 1.8:1, aluminum roller rocker arms, Katech valve springs and Katech titanium retainers on our 3800 Series II V6.
Ultralites are nearly 25% lighter than the stock 1.6 rockers and 8% lighter than the SLP aluminum...
