• 100 dry?

Is this about the limits for basically stock 3.8 on a dry shot? Its my daily driver so I don't wanna run a wet shot.

Whats the most the stock FP can handle? I hate dropping the tanks on fbodies.

its more about the injectors..with an upgraded pump (and proper tuning) you could spray well over 100..but you'll max out and lock up the injectors..thats why im eventually going direct port..a wet kit without the threat of backfires because mine is also my daily driver..for now i'll be spraying a 125 shot on the stock 22# injectors..but i'm going to be watching it on HP Tuners scanner to see if im gonna need bigger injectors...id still recommend an upgraded pump for anything over an 85 shot though ..such as the Walbro 255lph intank or the MSD external inline pump..i have the MSD..cost me like $75

Ok, cool...I put 150shot on my buddies LS1 TA and used an inline pump also and just hooked up to a switch, so whenever he sprays he just needs to turn the booster pump on.

I was just wondering what the stock 3.8 fuel system was capable of. Thanks

On a 120 dry system I ran:
stock fuel pump
stock injectors
modified computer
kenne bell boost a pump at 50%

I needed to turn it up to 50%, if I did not, it went lean top end.

If you are thinking about spraying more than an 85 dry or 75 wet, get the intank fuel pump, 255 lph.

I STILL run 19 lb injectors

Ok, I really really hate changing fuel pumps on our cars lol, but I'll live.

Also the SPEC Stage 2 should be good for a 100shot correct?

cuz you run a wet kit where you dont need the injectors to supply more fuel ;) ..the 19# injectors were not enough for the 120 shot..thats why you went with the 24# injectors before you switched to wet right?..from your experience with a 120 shot and 19# injectors im trying to get an idea of how my 22# injectors will take a 125

19's were FINE with the 120 dry shot.

My stock fuel pump could not keep up at higher rpm's.

I would NOT go with a 125 DRY shot at all.

I still continue to maintain a stock pound per hour injector.

Upping to the 24's ages ago was a mistake... which I learned from

19 lb/hr injectors on a 120 dry shot, wow!
So what happened with the 24's I never understood that?

Computer was NOT tuned for it.
Ran RICH lower rpm's
Lean top end

Nitrous + lean condition = motor breaks :(

That's harsh.
Add bigger injectors and you run lean, that's not fair.

so you're saying you wouldnt run a 125 even with bigger injectors and tuning for them?..or not with the stock injectors?..or not at all period?..i'll be watching it on HP Tuners scanner..and its not so bad if i blow this engine..i have a 3 year warranty on it haha ;) ..but by checking the a/f ratio, injectors, and spark advance/knock retard i should be able to tune it well for it

If you upgrade the fuel pump and the injectors, the fuel system should handle the 125 dry shot.

However, your MAF will max out at 330 RWHP. This is because our MAF sensors only read to 11500 hz. This equated to 39.1 #/Hour of air. The max HP you can get with that much air is about 330 RWHP. If you get 125 hp of that from the dry shot, and your motor N/A is over 205 RWHP, the MAF will max out and you will have problems.

If you max out your MAF, the car will go lean (very quickly) and you will have big problems.

What does it being your dd have to do with it being wet or dry? My friends and I put a wet kit on a v6 stang, ran a 100 shot not tuned, timing retarded a few degrees, ran a 13.9 spinning like mad. Oh, and it's his daily driver. He sold the kit because he needed money but we're about to make another wet kit for it. He missed the juice, lol.
