• purge only kit?

not lookin to get a whole fully running nos system, all i want is a purge so that i can snort at people.
what kind of things would i need, (would i have to buy a whole nos setup anyway?)

in order to be able to purge..you need to have some sort of pressure in the lines..so you will need a bottle and a line..if all you want is a purge then you wont need any nitrous/fuel solenoids since the purge solenoid hooks up just before these..all you will need in addition to the bottle and line is a purge solenoid and the push button to activate it..if all you're doing is purging a 10lb. bottle will last you a LONG time

and a functional 50 shot would only be about 500?... hmmmm tough choices

yup..the installation is obviously a little more involved..but not that much..just drilling for the nozzle and hookin up the solenoids..but thats stuff you'd be running wire and stuff anyway just for the purge..if you're gonna bother with it i'd just make it functional ..a 50 shot you could run stock..and its good for probably about 8 tenths ..something like that

Um, if you want the LOOK of a purge kit... get a CO2 kit instead of the nitrous one... much cheaper in the long run... CO2 is cheaper than N2O.

But.... you wanna purge W/O nitrous???
What is the point?

To say... you can purge... but have nothing to back it up?

yeah...so i can spray mustangs on the other side of the intersection. (ran into this scenario and this is where i got the idea)

in my opinion its kinda like a little dog barking its brains out till you walk up to it and then the dog runs away...

why purge and not have a bottle... if i had someone purge a bottle next to me and then they lost a race and i later found out that they didnt even actually have a functional system i would have a jolly good time laughing at them

but if you do it i would agree CO2 is the way to go... its a lot cheaper

this is only useful for spraying the intercooler in an FI application. other than that it is just for show. How much do you guys think it would cost for the CO2 system? i really want to try spraying my IC. i have thought about just using a paintball bottle for the bottle and then going with standard nitrous equipment for the rest.

i think those CO2 systems are like $350?..something like that..and since its not going in your engine it doesnt really matter what it is as long as its cold..i think the idea would be really cool hooked up to a window switch too ;)

Off hand... I don't know the cost of it... but search www.summitracing.com for cryo kit's.

As for a cryo kit/ interchiller being used on the intercooler of a boosted car it is supposed to be VERY EFFECTIVE!!!!!!

if you use co2 on the intercooler make sure none of it is sucked into the intake. co2 dosent burn to well and if enough gets in it will actually offset any gains you would get.
