  • 100*F OAT + N2o spray = detonation

It has been pretty freakin hot here recently, and when I spray with hot outside air, I get a nasty loud knock. I would like to make my goal of a 13 second pass sometime soon, but I need to stop this awful problem first. Any cheap ideas? I already have slp cai and a whisper lid.

I was thinking I could put a resistor in my IAT that tells the comp. the intake air is really hot, like 300*F. I dunno if that will work or not.

I have a 160* t-stat, but I do not have a manual cooling fan switch. Would that help? If so, can someone send me a diagram of how to wire it up?

WOuld ice on the intake help?

should I just wait till it gets cold here to make my pass?

Also, whenever I read hotrod, Carcraft, Motor trend, or almost any other car mag, they always talk about Q mile passes corrected to standard temperature and pressure. DOes anyone know how to do that?

Are you running colder heat range spark plugs??? How about 91 octane at least?

I have delco rapidfires 2 heat ranges colder than stock. I always use 91 octane. I ordered a SLP fan man. fan switch today, maybe that will help out.
