  • Pictures of WOT switch install on 99+ car

I've heard that some people are using the NOS 5175 WOT switch with 99+ cars by installing the switch on the actual throttle. Does anyone have any pics of this setup?

It has to be under the pedal because there is no actual linkage between the pedal and the throttle
(no cable) in 99+ cars it is a drive by wire, a little electric motor that opens the throttle as you push the pedal. It's pretty cool how it works at least you won't break a throttle cable like I have. Guess my foot's just too heavy sometimes. :D

How can it be ghetto if nobody will ever see it?

Mind is under the pedal and it works great!

It was a little hard to setup JUST perfect, but once its done, its done.

Wires are inside the car, hidden.. where as if you put it on the throttle, they are VISIBLE, in the way possibly, and in the elements.

watch out for the floor mat... My friend had the switch on the throttle pedal of his altima and his floormat got stuck up there so he sprayed as he was doing about 1500 rpm when he flipped the activation switch

This is why we always recomend other safety devices such as a window switch!
