  • Put the TA on the rollers....

    Just thought I'd share:
Last week I put my TA on the dyno for a couple of pulls. I had sprayed it once before but shut it down early because a bad flare at the plate was spraying fuel everywhere. It was also extremely rich on that pass so I got some smaller fuel jets for this one. Anyway... the car put down 601 hp / 523 tq!!
We still have some fine tuning to do and the final numbers may come in just under the 600 mark because I might pull a couple more degrees of timing out. I wanted to add a little more fuel but I left my jets at home so I'll have to go back to finish up. Also the bottle pressure dropped off a good bit about half way through the pass, causing the HP to drop off as well. Guess I need a bigger bottle.
On motor that day it only put down 363 hp / 311 tq but we also shut that one down at 6500 (the nitrous pull went to 7000). Once we get the tune cleaned up I will be pulling to 7500. At any rate, that's a 238 rwhp gain off of what NX says is a 200 shot!

Here's a short vid my brother shot of the nitrous pull:

Also note that these numbers were through a TH350 with an unlocked torque converter. Would have been well over 600 with a locked converter or a 6spd.

Re: Put the TA on the rollers....

              Per NX - 52 (x2) nitrous and 28 (x2) fuel. That gave me 9.5 : 1 across the board, so I lowered the fuel jets to 26, for a 11.5 : 1 A/F on that pull.

Cool, means you have a system that flows well. Usually .052 pills are good for 125hp a piece. Make sure you post up what it runs!
