  • whisper lid help...

I have it all installed, I bought it used so I don't know if I am missing something and I couldn't find anything online...so here goes. There is that hose coming from the lid that goes underneath the fuseboxes... there is also a hose coming up from underneath there that was connected to the stock airbox. My question is what do I do with these 2 hoses? are they supposed to connect? do I need to remove one/both? someone please answer asap possibly with pics of what i need it to look like. Please and thank you!
    by the way, I don't have a 3800, i have an 2000 ls1 if that helps.

It sounds kinda like your talking about the air system. Try ls1tech.com

Whisper lid is pretty straight forward mod.

Just remove the stock one and put the whisper lid on its place. The large intake tube would ofcourse go from the TB to the Lid. The IAT sensor would connect to the lid instead of the tube.

I don't know what the other tube you are talking about, unless I got this all wrong. I know V6 and V8 are the same. Unless if I'm wrong. But take a pic and let us see what you mean.

00-02 LS1s have an A.I.R. system. That "snorkel" looking hose is for the AIR pump to connect to. Might be a little more helpful to search on LS1tech or another LSX site first.

If you don't see that pump, it might have been deleted by a previous owner. A lot of those guys delete it.

yes you're exactly right, it looks like a snorkel tube and it is an air pump. Do I just join those 2 hoses together is what I am wondering...

heres a pic of what I am talking about
