  • I got a New Stance!!!

Took these way back when it was actually nice in Upstate NY.

Decided to go for a more "raked" look.....

    So, what do you think??

Hahah, these tell the rest of the story....

Cutting the S-pipe was defintally the hardest part.
I know the instructions say not to cut the s-pipe on the 98+...
I ended up saws-alling about a 1/8" of the O2 bung, not fun.

Rusty rear end, not to bad for a 10 year old upstate NY car its whole life.....

Yes, the left side is higher up than the right side.
At first I loved the look of that, the tip up higher, touching the bumper.
But then got to thinking about how when they get hot, and boy do they get hot, will they warp/burn the bumper?

So I ended up bending the hanger that you put in down. Looks ok now.

    Future plans for it:

-It is currently held together by U-Clamps, so I need/want to get it welded.
-Need to get the 02 bung welded in.
-The S-Pipe bangs against the heat shield right now, annoying at hell.
-I want to cut the tips, not the polished part, and bring them into the car about 1"-2". I think the "tucked" look would look better.
-Headers and hi-flow cat are in basement.

          Hahhaha
          MAGIC!!

I wonder if I could have backed up onto the ramps......
Either way, I just jacked up the rear end with 2 blocks of wood on top of that to get it to fit under.

My tires, which are 245's, BARLEY fit on the ramp.
Funny thing is, my buddy's mustang right next to it has TONS of room with the tires when we jack his car on the ramps. They must be 215's or something.
Chevy knew we needed bigger tires......

Why does the maro look so long compared to the stang in the last pic.

Hey Crazed98Camaro what are the specifications for your Magnaflow exhaust? Did you get a 3 inch S pipe? Those tips are 3 inches right? Or are they 3 1/2 inches? Also how hard would you rate installing the 3 inch S pipe on a scale from 1 to 10?

                            Advice:

If you get longer hangers - an extra inch or so - you can hang the muffler lower slightly and angle the tips pointing up (I personally think it's more aggressive).

I hate the tips pointing to the ground look.

                            Other than that sweet install...

Thanks for the words and advice everyone!
I think I am going to cut the tips shorter, and "tuck" them in.

                              And the mustang issue,
Our cars are freaking long, but it could just be because I had it up on ramps.
