Anyone have some? My set-up's raspy, and I don't see how I can get a resonator on the piping without it hitting the rear or driveshaft. If so, have any before/after clips?

What kind, size, and from where? I'm looking for some dual square or single rectangular ones, and am having trouble. Doesn't seem like 2.5" is a popular inlet size :(

        Re: Resonated/Intercooler tips

I searched forever to get some good looking resonated tips. I found the hooker and flowtech ones on summit that were not too bad. But they were chrome (prefer stainless) and didn't have a rolled edge. But I came across these silverline tips that look just like my magnaflow tips, but they're resonated.

Here's the closest to a dual square from silverline, tip TK7820:

It says dual resonated oval, but its not a smooth oval, looks half squarish. The inlet is 2.25" but any exhaust shop can swedge them to a 2.5"ID for a couple bucks. Best prices I found are at:

I ordered TK7818, the dual round resonated

Unfortunately rasp is something we deal with when opening up the exhaust on the 3.8. Although the tips will make "some" differance in sound it will be minimal.

I believe the best options to keep exhaust rasp down in our cars is either get an adjustable muffler such as the borla and just open it all the way up at the track of similarly get a cutout with a stock Z28 or SS muffler. A resonator in place of the cat is an option as mentioned, but It's always been my preferance if you're going for performance and don't have smog in your area to straight pipe there, it's difficult to have the best of both worlds all the time!

I love the sound of my exhaust; under load there is almost no rasp. IDoVoodoo, keep me updated. Get a pic too so I can better see the rectangularness of them :P

Sorry to report that I noticed no significant sound difference with the resonated tips. But I was really pleased with the quality of the tips. At less than half the price of magnaflow tips I wish I would have found them before.
