Re: anyone tried this highflow cat?

that's only a 2.25" cat... I doubt anyone on here is using anything that small if they have a magnaflow cat, muchless do I think anyone on here would spend that much on a cat...

yeah but why would you pay $300 for all of that when you could get pacesetter headers with a y-pipe and a catco cat for that much?

I don't see much point in that as the stock piping is 2.25, so there will be very minimal if any gains.

Headers are a bolt-on mod, I'm sure if you can do that you can put headers on, and my dad runs pacesetters with a magnaflow hi-flo (the $100 one) with no SES light (I'm pretty sure).:)

Well you lived in Cali...those bastards will rape you on just about anything EPA-wise... But I feel for you....

and as for the question of a tune, what year is your car? if it's a 96 up, then you can get it tuned by PCM for less....Just get it tuned for what you wanna do with the car...they can delete codes, desensitize sensors, and what not....kristen has an O2 sim and hasn't had a problem with it...they work, if you buy the right ones...

I don't live in CA, but NY follows CA's emission standards. I can probably resell the cat and get a fair amount of the cost back.

Well they can do one of two things:

                            1. You can send your PCM to them, they will flash it, and then send it back to you. I sent mine out on a Friday, got it back sat. a week later.

                            2. You can place your order, pay an additional $75 "core Charge" and they will flash a PCM for you, and send it to you, then when you get it you swap them out, send your old one back to them, and they will refund you the $75 core. This is the way you'll want to go, because your car won't be down but the 15 minutes it takes to swap PCM's.
