  • my header plan...advice?

My car is a 98 v6 maro. My exhaust is 3" from the Y all the way back. With a summit (20 $$) muffler and a high flow cat. I plan on buying Ceramic Coated PaceSetter headers. I want to do as much as possible to prevent leaks and from what ive read, that means upgrading the gaskets and bolts.

for bolts it sounds like any locking blot should do fine ..so going with these should be A-ok http://www.ftpp.net/V6/Exhaust/v6_headers.htm Stage 8 locking ;)

for gaskets ive heard abbott racing and flatout. is there a huge difference here in quality? can u still order abbott gaskets http://www.abbottracingheads.com/gm3800.htm

anyways does this all sound pretty good..any advice putting them on? i should be using my uncles shop and fixing my damn oil leak while im at it :o

i just put pacesetters on my car, with everything it came with and its working great they have about 1K on them so far and the gaskets it came with are great and the bolts it came with are just as tight as they were when i tightened them the first time

yeah i dont think you really should go all overkill with it, i havent had any problem with my headers the only thing i did was put some anti-seize on them just incase i had to put another set on later down the road
