exhaust Ideas

I want to put a new exhaust system on my car for around or under 300ish

do you guys have any ideas?

I say a z28 take off with some nice tips. That way you'll have plenty of money left over. Z28 cat back is 2.75" which is plenty for a V6. And it should cost well under 50 bucks if you can find someone one LS1tech.com getting rid of theirs. Thats what I did, I have the exhaust, just waiting till payday to go get it welded on.

i basically did the same thing except for i got a kit from a 97' y87 car

didnt fit perfectly since there was no hanger where the one on mine was, but a little fab work and it was on.. looks very nice, and doesnt sound like crap like all of the other aftermarket ones do

Y87 muffler is the same thing as the stock muffler but with two pipes coming out. Doesn't flow any better or anything, still 2.25" inlet. I don't know the sound difference if there is one, but i never thought my Y87 muffler sounded that great.

just go to LS1tech.com and go on the "parts for sale" section, they are in abundance, since the first thing people do with an LS1 is ditch the stock exhaust.
