  • Intake Question

Im doing a dual cold air intake on my 1997 camaro.
Ive bought it and it will be here in the next couple of days.

    here is a link.
    Here
I got a deal i could not refuse.
    little over 50% off.

    Ok. Question is.
I want to add more airflow to it then just what is already coming from under the hood.

Would running pipes from where my fog lights sit, behind my grill, add any more air?

and if so how would i go about doing that.

I know someone on this site done it before.
    Any help?

    Also.
Anything i should know about this cold air intake before i install it.

    Warnings, advice, or anything?

    Thanks.

Thanks but i dont think your advice is usefull or makes any sense.

well... i don't think it looks bad except for the one piece of ribber rubber... and im not sure about by the foglights... ive always thought that was more of a 98+ thing... i know alot of people try and put it in the wheel wells though :)

        Re: Intake Question

A friend of mine had one of these intakes on his 97' and it was fine. It's better than stock. Also, Auto666, watch yourself. He asked for advice, not wisecracks.

          Re: Intake Question

I had the SLP and got rid of it in favor of the Lingenfelter.

Be very careful where you drive when it rains. The filters go inside the front fender. Air is provided by the plastic louvers on the bottom on the fender. Some have cut out the louvers and installed a aluminum scoop to aid in getting air to the filters.

The elbow is an 1LE elbow off an LT1.

            Re: Intake Question

You could really get some air in there if you save up some money and turbo charge it. Btw, with that dual setup.. Wouldn't it be better if it was just one larger pipe? I'm not tryin to be a smartass.. But I almost can't help it. Dual sounds cool but practical is usually a better idea.
