  • Possible 02 sim gone bad need some help…

Hey all I just have a quick question. I just got a SES light I think it might be because of my high flow cat. I have a 02 sim but before I replace it I wanted to see if I can reset it, I just can’t remember how. Could someone tell me again I know you have to disconnect 2 fuses but can’t remember witch ones. Also I know that Casper electronics doesn’t sell the 02 sim’s any more so could someone let me know where to get one from if that be the case.

    Thanks again all
    Brian

Take the sim out and check it visually first. Mine went bad and I didn't know why, so I climbed under and unplugged it. Turns out my new exhaust was routed closer to the sim and burnt the thing up :(. I don't think there's anyway to really reset the sim, it should always be working the same way. If it went bad, then that's it. You could reset the PCM, but that won't affect the sim any. If it's working, then the code should automatically go away, but it's not so the sim's more than likely bad. I'm sure there's someway to test it, I believe it's just another resistor in there, idk.

Well, just to answer the question the two fuses you can pull to reset the PCM are PCM IGN and PCM BAT

Hey thanks alot all for the info. Well it turns out that it's not the sim after all it's the cooling fan. Actualy cooling fan #1 somthing in the circuit....I checked it out and everything I think it might be a bad fan itself. Anyone know anyone thats selling a OEM cooling fan???
