    Re: Header Questions

sorry to bring this thread back from the dead, but i didnt want to create a new one. Anyways, you say that the ceramic coated headers help to keep the heat down in the engine bay correct? would putting on vht ceramic coat header paint do the same, or is it not as effective?

here's a link to a description of the paint

Never used it, heard some good reviews about it though. Some guys say it's just like the real thing. I read over that, and it makes sense, since you have to cure the paint in between coats, and you have to cure it to various levels of temperature up to 650 degrees. I don't see any reason that they wouldn't work well. I may have to try that myself.

That would be dumb...if you get ceramic coated headers....just put them on. Dont try to coat them again.

^^^ I believe he's talking about getting the ceramic coat header paint and using it on regular painted headers...

"Ceramic coat" I believe refers to Ceramic Coated Headers

and the "em" he refers to would be those headers.

At least that's how the english language would interpret it.

So witty... How long did it take you to come up with that? I didn't realize there was someone in charge of how to interpret what people have said.

lol I didn't mean to be witty up there, and I'm not in charge of how to interpret what people have said, i was just pointing out how I looked at the wording of a sentence.

And thank you very much I typed that post in about 25 seconds.

                    ^now that's witty^ :)
