yea, you're gonna have serious clearance issues putting a half-inch gasket under the intake

hmm, thats cool, never seen that befor, and 1/2 an inch will NOT cause clearance issues. However a regular gasket will run you like $20 plus you get a TB gasket. Its a cool concept and it may be good for some hp, but not enough to even feel. I would go with a stock gasket.

While it probably wouldn't hurt to add some runner length to our intakes, that spacer will completely interrupt the flow through the intake ports.

good point, it would really interupt the flow

yea, looks like I was wrong.

to the OP, you'll gain much more from buying a stock gasket and eBaying an intake setup (CAI if it's a 97 or older, whisperlid if it's a 98+) than buying a half inch gasket to stick in there

Yeah, you're right. But how about porting the spacer to match the intakes? If possible, I think it's a good find.

well I go to School for mechanical engineering and thats sorta what I thought the upper and lower runners are matched but the spacer is straight so someone needs to redesign this thing.

would be cool if someone could use this for a nifty direct port setup!:naughty:

Yeah, it wouldn't be perfect. But you could smooth/round out the angles and make it like slight backwards "S". Well, that's the image I have in my head.

because the ports on the intakes are angled toward the heads. The spacer looks to be straight.
