No cat if anything would free up some flow and make it get better gas mileage

            i too disagree.

yes a bad o2 sensor WILL make your gas milage suffer noticably.

where about in PA are you?

                3.4s don't have a post cat 02.

I have to disagree with the bad 02 sensor. Ever since my 02 sensor got road rash after it fell out due to some poor tightening by me, i have gained like 50 miles a tank. It might just depend on how ****ty your 02 sensor really is...because half of my tip of my 02 sensor is off and i get better gas mileage.

Umm, bad 02 will cut your gas mileage. In my 96 camaro, I had a bad o2 sensor and I could never get more than 180 miles to the tank. I was lazy so I drove like that for 4 months getting that crappy gas mileage. I changed the o2 and my miles per tank jumped to 260-70 that same week. I was angry at myself for not changing it sooner. So, yeah, o2 can greatly affect your MPG.

the 3.4s don't have a post cat o2, so the cat shouldn't give you an SES light. I'd get it scanned and see what the code is.

I would think that missing yer cat would not hinder your mileage at all.

As far as an o2 sensor that screws into my exhaust pipe anywhere, i dont see one.

Where would the other one be located that I might have to replace?

Also, I live close to Pittsburgh...(loser)

And where could I have the car scanned at? Isn't the 94 the OBDI model? I think advanced auto only has OBD2 and up and there really isnt that many other places for me to go around here. ??

damn... with no cat hence no post cat o2 I get like 350 miles to a tank... compared to 320 before
