Ram Air install speed record!!!

Slowest install ever. Before this the only thing I'd ever done was put on my Whisper lid. It took my friend and I about six hours to install my SLP ram air. This inluded two trips to the hardware store for tools I forgot and a small break to eat. Despite the crappy pictures in the instructions and the fact that they make no mention of what to do with the rubber seal they included I think we did it right. I know to most of you six hours sounds insane but I was very hesitant about doing the install myself because I didn't want to mess something up and break my car. However, you can't learn to swim if you don't jump in the water. I drove it for about thirty minutes and nothing seems out of the ordinary so I guess it's all good. Just thought I'd share with the group. Anyone know what to do with that rubber seal?

the rubber seal goes under the lid in the front to block off air from coming in.

speaking of... I need that rubber piece. Do you know where I could get one or where I can find something similar to it.

maybe try some rubber hosing and silicone

6 hours! wow. i just rebuilt my powerdyne bd11a HU in about that time. glad it all came together though!
