        Re: would this work?

everyone here puts way too much emphisis on intake setups. any filter away from heat will work just as good as the next

it would probably work, but you would have better results just getting a whisper lid and ram air kit... Or even just doing the free intake mods... Either way an intake is an intake, give it cooler air than it has now and its doing its job.

                  Re: would this work?

i have a free intake setup i just want to improve it at low cost. a whisper lid and ram air kit is well over $300. the red intake in the pic above is just $40 and i think it will work just like the k&n that's also above which is $300
any way ill try it and let you guys know how it goes thanks:stp:

                    Re: would this work?

the free ram air mod would work better and cost you nothing. You are going to pick up warm air with that unless you have a ram air functioning hood. With the lid and free ram air mod, atleast the air coming in isn't hot engine air. Simply look at were your air comes into the engine bay. You will be sucking in hot air from the engine area where as with even the stock lid and free ram air mod you are pulling in outside air into your engine.
