I have Magnaflow hiflow cat and a Magnaflow catback system on my 3.4l ;94 Bird. Love the idle, hate the drone at 55mph. Anyway to switch the muffler to eliminate the drone? Would the Magnaflow xlturbo be a bit quieter and eliminate the drone?
This catback system has a funky muffler with a wraparound pipe to accomodate the passenger side tail pipe...
drone is caused by the two tips vibrating at nearly the same frequency, causing an amplification in noise. Therefore, to eliminate drone, you have to eliminate the two tips
