EGR Valve Gasket. Help

Ok, I just bought a new EGR Valve but it did not come with a gasket. Can I just use any gasket sealer suff (what ever its called) on it. I just pulled my old one off and didn't relize I didn't have the gasket till just now. I know, I should have thought of this before I got started.

You can go buy it by itsself. I've got like 10 of them in the garage just from different kits it came with. Yeh you should go buy the gasket its only like 5 bucks if that.

Well I have that gooie gasket stuff. Can I just use that instead of waisting 5 bucks

dont use any silicone based (even high temp) on manifold - will kill your o2 sensor

I wouldnt. That gasket is going to get pretty hot. Spend the money and do it right.

Yeh that gasket is actually a metal gasket, so it can with stand those temps. Its made out of the same material as your header gaskets.
