  • S-pipe question.

    Hi everyone.

Do you guy think if its worth buying a S-pipe? If so is it better for performance if I delete the resonator to or just leave it as is? My exhaust mods are Pacesetter headers, 3" car sound cat, and a 80 series flowmaster exhaust system.

    Thanks.

    Re: S-pipe question.

What diameter is the flowmaster cat-back?

    Might as well get a 3" S-pipe

The diameter for the flowmaster is 2.5.

get a 3" Sipe so if you ever upgrade to a 3" cat-back, you wont need a new S-pipe...

          Re: S-pipe question.

I'm not really planning on upgrading my exhaust anytime soon. I'm saving all my money and upgrade money for the 5th gene camaro. I just want to know if it make a difference in performance if I change to an 3" S-pipe, but stay with the current 2.5 flowmaster exhaust system. If it does make a difference in performance then I'll do it. I want you guys input on this.

does the flowmaster cat-back include the S-pipe? If it does than use it. If not than I would just get a 3" since your cat outlet is 3"...I wouldn't leave the stock 2.25" one in there

then you dont want to leave the stock 2.25" on there...so you have two options.

                3" cat outlet > 2.5" reducer > 2.5" S pipe > 2.5" flowmaster

                or

                3" cat outlet > 3" S pipe > 2.5" reducer > 2.5" flowmaster

Why not go w/ the 2nd choice...no reason not to...

I'm selling my 3" Mandrel U-Bend for cheap, its brand new. All you need to do is cut it in half, flip it, and weld, then wala, you have yourself a S Pipe. Or i'll even trade, let me know.
