  • Removed Cat Worth it?

So my cat is shot, and has been shot... it is doding nothing but making noise, and so is my muffler...

i might be able to get an old 40 sereis off another maro and put it on mine, but i was wondering.. should i take off my cat and replace it with pipe or leave it there and let it do nothing?

    opinoins? will it sound worse?

replace the cat with a dynomax bullet. just a 40 series and no cat will be obnoxious.

my gutted cat and stock catback is pretty loud... if you can get away with a bullet do it.

and if the cat is bad, ditch it.

i straight piped mine. Only problem I ran into was that i had to cut off the nub where the post cat 02 sensor goes, so i can't do the cheap 02 simulator unless i drill a new hole which i do plan on doing eventually. It's perfect for me though, because my borla is really quiet, so without the cat, it's just hardly quiter than a flowmaster catback i heard on a firebird, which is the perfect loudness for me.
