  • I think I made the coolest sounding intake setup...

So I put my stuff back to stock ahwile ago. other night jsut doing some "tune up" style stuff, I got silly.

I cut lower part out of the box for Free ram air, I had a shaved lit already.

Then I have a ton of 4 in. piping. So I cut a section and replaced the air silencer with it. I still have the MAF descreened. This thing sounds sick as hell. Its loud, I know metal intakes really make a difference in sound but dang, its so much louder then my crappy *** pvc setup I had before, and its really alot nicer then old setup too.

If I ever get any free time I will make a vid of it.

BTW I can cut alot of sections of pipe and sell it off, I might do it for cheap, if there is interest

mine is slightly louder at idle, but you really hear it in the upper RPMS under load.

We need a sound clip man. I wanna hear this thing. I thought mine was loud and kewl sounding.....I got on it and my friend swore he heard a supercharger spinning up, even over my MagnaFlow exhaust. I may have to put a metal peice in there if I like the way it sounds :D (97 Camaro BTW)

actually it helps alot... I'd say cheapest "budget" intake setup. Just a 4 in. pipe and like I said if I get energy I will cut more and sell them dirt cheap.

                  free ram air.(free)
                  shaved lid(free)
                  !Maf screen
                  !air silencer
then just some 4in hose clamps and a 4in metal pipe

I had a fully stock setup and just went to this, its alot better. And I am still partial to my paper air filters and still running one.

I did the airbox lid thing, and you can hear the intake swirling from quite a distance....it made my intake loud as hell. :)

For real on the supercharger thing, is this common with our motors or something, I checked all the vaccuum lines and everything, and everyone still swears I'm hiding a supercharger in my motor! lol it's not REALLY loud but when I get on it...yeah.
