LT1 Elbow

Im about to get one of these to put on my 3.8L so I can put on an intake. Will it fit no problems? And also what can I do about the hole on the underside of it, which I think I read that its for a silencer?

don't really know if it will fit but you could probably go to Lowe's or somewhere and find a plug to put in the hole. And yes, it is for a factory silencer.

O ok, thanks. Yeah because its pretty much the same elbow as the one included in the SLP CAI for 3.8L's, except its missing that hole for the silencer, I think.

heres what you do, get a pert plus shampoo bottle, take the cap(which fits nicely on the opening) put it on there, should fit perfect.

or just tape the f0cker shut with some tape. :)

tape doesn't work that well. we had a TA in my body shop and it was missing the silencer and the body guy couldn't figure why it was running rough. i found the hole and tried tape as a temp fix. didn't want to hold for crap.

thus why i suggested the shampoo bottle lid first. tape will work for the short term until you can find something else.

But it will fit over my TB right? Since SLP shipd pretty much the same thing for 3.8's...

Yeah, Ive been thinking about that Reducing elbow for a while now, but Im worried it work as well...but it might be better since it doesnt have the hole at the bottom
