  • intake sensor?

After a question/poll on here of what mods we all have waiting to install I starteed going through some of my stuff and found a box. It had a postage date of Oct 2002, and addressed to me. I do not remember ordering it but clearly I did. Anyways it has a sheet of paper with pictures of where and how it connects. I'm guessing it is some sort of bypass of the intake sensor. The "directions" did not say what it was actually for and I was just curious to see if anyone had the vaguest of an idea what I could have possibly bought so long ago and its purpose? I know this is a shot in the dark but I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask.

    Sounds like one of these:

Not really a performance chip. Just a IAT resistor that claims to give alot of HP, but actually doesn't do hardly anything at all.

This could be, it's a 2X3inch black box with a steel plate on one side and just a female end to connect to. Think I should just toss it or plug it in?

Plug it in and see if you feel any difference. I didn't when I put mine in, but I left it anyway. Figured, if it gave me even another 1 or 2 ponies, it's better than nothing. But, some people have idling issues with it in. Mine's been just fine, but just letting you know.
