  • header install question

Well my pacesetter headers will be here in a couple days and i'm looking for someone to install them for me because i just dont have the tools or time to do it.

Well the shop i usually have work on my car priced me $300 to install them. I think thats a little expensive. But is that a good price? how much have yall had them installed for?

    Re: header install question

300 sounds like the usual going rate for header install.

I did my own so mine was free :) I have a header install guide in my sig if you decide to try it yourself

I'd say to do it yourself.. it's not that much of a pain in the ***. I mean, it wasn't the easiest task in the world and takes some patience, but it's well worth keeping the $300, IMO.

x2, definitly worth it to do it yourself. plus you get to spend some quality time with your car (and every single one of its rusted, stuck, stripped, and PITA manifold bolts)

mine was 275... but the place has since raised their prices.

do it yourself, if possible. if you have the cash laying around, and dont think youre capable of doing it... have a shop do it (or find a random local person that knows their ****, and give em a case of beer to do it)

well i just put my whole car up on jack stands and did it that way. anything under the car was done by laying on the ground. after i got the headers done i took it to an exhaust shop to have a system built for the rest of it after teh y-pipe
