    finished with polishing the TB

    well against all odds i works lol. I do have a high idle problem. the TB has set for 2 years and the idle adjustment screw is stuck. I had to grind the tip of it down to get the idle down from 2K. in park it idles about 1K and in gear at 50mph it coasts at 1.5K. a little high but not too bad. will cost me some gas mileage till I get it fixed but drivable. I **** you not, as I finished putting everything back on, I turned around to pick up my tools and the bottom falls out before I can get everything back in the tool box. I didn't get too agressive since it was raining but I can tell a diffrence. it actually broke loose shifting into 3rd at 60mph, gotta love that shift kit :naughty:

    looks good, but i got a couple of questions,
    did you just completely remove that support thats in front of the butterfly,
    have you tuned for it?
    and can you give a right up on how to do it?

    it looks like it would make a good summer project on a budget

      go to mods on the left side, then second link down on the list. this is for a 3.4 but it should work just as well for a 3.8.

        anyone know how well this works on a '99 3.8?

          looks good, you did the coolant bypass as well i see

            yup. other than the non adjustible adjustment screw, moving the lines were the hardest part.

              surprised I didn't notice it last night but the 3.4 whistle (GM's fake blow off valve) is gone. and I swear, I just drove around for 20 minuets and could not get a shot at a clear 1/4 mile of road. only at 8:30PM on saturday do these drive-the-middle-of-the-road bastards decide to dive around. anyway, I did get a few shots at some 0MPH take offs. all I did was spin through first and bog in second. thats a weird feeling in a V6 automatic lol. guess the next mod will be LSD and gears since I can't launch for **** now. I am sure its a combination of the TB and the slightly higher idle. best I could do was a single 10MPH roll. once I hit second it really took off. I can really tell a difference with this mod. I really need to find some open road, thats where I can shift to 3rd and 3rd always falls on its face

                now that I can actually drive the car now, I played around some today. throttle response has been improved. and it pulls fairly good in 3rd now. thats a major puls. that was the major letdown in this car before, sood at it hit 3rd it fell on its face. also. I had mentioned I had a high idle I couldn't get rid of, well once it warmes up it goes away so thats good
