  • Magnaflow break in

Hey guys i have had my magnafow catback on my 94 a4 3.4 bird for about 2.5 to 3 months now and it still sounds a little too ricey to me up high. I have heard it gets better over time but how long does it take to break in thanks

I've had a magnaflow ss muffler for 4yrs and mine still has some rice on the top end. Most exhaust systems just do that on v6 fbodys. Mine now only does it when the exhaust is somewhat cool though. Also the sound is way different on the out side. Inside sounds like a v6. Out side you would swear there was an LT1 under the hood so it might not sound as bad as you think when the vehicle is driving by.

Yeah like he said, it sounds different and much better outside the car. I have gotten many complements on it, and the sound does get better over time. My friends think it sounds nice, one of 'em told me at first it sounded like a go-kart, he said it just to piss me off, but then he said he thought it was cool. But I like the sound even at WOT, and have had it for well over a year now.
