hey i got my tubular manifolds from the 00+ v6s in the mail the other day and i'm looking into porting them. what are your thoughts to the amount of money this would be worth? if machine shop says "sure, we'll do it for 40 bucks" then that would be worth it, right? i'm not going to go out and buy headers so i wan't to get the most i can out of these manifolds.

I ported mine with a dremel. It was free so I would say it is worth it. You do need to have a little understanding of fluid flow. Don't take the bore as big of a hole as possible approach. I am not familiar with those manifolds. So I don't know how much can be gained.

My manifolds had alot of room for improvement.

The easiest way is to port match the primaries to the manifold gasket, it will give you some gain.
