Their exhaust sound? I'm going to dyno my car this weekend, and I want to record it when I do. A friend of mine has a digital camera, can I get the audio off of that? Thanks.

I used a crappy little tape recorder from Wal-Mart :D Then just hooked the headphone jack of it up to my soundcard's mic in and recorded it with Sound Recorder... which resulted in pretty poor sound quality.

Digital camera's only take pictures. If you mean a digital video camera, you could, assuming one of you have the necessary hardware to hook it up to your computer.

you may be able to get a usable sound with the cheap wal mart recorder, try staying quite a distance from the car, and face the microphone away from the car, that way the little chep-o mic won't have to take the brunt of the sound waves which could cause distortion and poor recording quality. (just my 2 copper Lincoln's)
