  • o2 sensor question

Are all 4thgen o2 sensors the same?

ie. manifold vs rear, ls1 cars vs v6 cars?

    Are they interchangeable?

    For V6s:

V8s have different sensors. They use the same supply of sensors, but they're used in different years.

So is it primarily the connector that's different? If i was cutting that off and splicing it into the wires... would it not work?

I want to put an AFS98 into my pass manifold as I have a replacement given to me free, but its off a 98 ls1 post cat.

does anyone know if the o2 sensors will be messed up to where my car shudders real bad when i try to pick up speed and sounds like its going to die when its idleing? i added headers and a 3" catback system on it and now its messing up. could it be my o2 sensor that would do something like this and if not then maybe what?

have you got an ses light that comes up as an o2 sensor code. if you dont have that then your o2 sensors are probably fine.

The O2 sensor after your cat has nothing to do with how your car runs. Only the ones on the manifold or headers.

Get it scanned if its throwing a code.

yea im probably going to get it scanned on thursday because my check engine light is coming on and im definetly going to get new 90 degree spark plug wires bc he said that they were hitting my headers pretty hard and i dont want to take any chances
