After failing smog, which bites a big one, I scanned my computer with my autoxray and found that I had an error 35 which was the IAC valve. I also know my EGR is messed up too. I ordered both from Napa with gaskets.
Now on that IAC valve. I pulled it out last night to look at it and mine is pretty dirty, and that pintle doesn't hold very well. I am wondering, what do I need to do to set up the new IAC when it arrives? The book said something about 1.102 inches from base to top of pintle. Is that correct? Please, let me know what I should do to when replacing the IAC valve.
The EGR is pretty much bolt in right? Just unbolt the old one, get the gaskets ready, and install new one?
