  • What about the EGR on headers?

    Hi everyone,

I have been upgrading a 3.4L v6 that I got from a 94 camaro and I have been installing it into my 93' miata. (http://34v6miata.tripod.com)
    my questions is this guys...

I purchased hooker super comp headers for my 3.4L, the headers I purchased (obviously) don't have an adapter for the EGR. However, by looking at the other headers (off the shelf) for specifically the f-body, I found that they do not have EGR adapter either?

So are you guys with headers running without the egr unit now? If so, what about emissions? Is the ECU picking this up and running any type of error code?

Should I fabricate the EGR unit into the headers or should I just ditch it entirely? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks...

My RK Sport headers have a spot for the egr.
